What you'll get in each module:

  • One pre recorded lecture a week covering anatomy, specific pathologies, or general exercise science concepts
  • One live movement lab where we apply what we learned in lecture to the studio and get to workshop ideas in real time
  • One office hour each week where you can ask me anything related to the content in the course
  • Guest lectures

Flagship course FAQs

How is the VIP course structured?

Modules are broken up into 4 six-week blocks. Each 6-week module will be focused on one region of the body. There will be a two week break between module 1 and 2 and between module 3 and 4 where you'll be able to catch up on any module content before the next module starts. Between module 2 and 3 we'll break for summer. During this time you can join the alumni membership for FREE to stay in the loop! For more info on the membership click here

Is the VIP course fully asynchronous?

Everything can be done on your own time except the movement lab. Once everyone is registered we vote on the best day and time for that specific group. If needed we can make two times for our global community to ensure everyone can come to one movement lab.

  • guest lecturers,
  • office hours where you can ask me anything
  • NPCP CECs
  • enrolls once a year

The DIY course

  • same lectures as the VIP
  • all asynchronous
  • no guest lectures
  • no CECs
  • enroll anytime
Do all of the Flagship courses allow you to join the membership?

YES!

What if I already took anatomy. How is the Flagship course different?

At AOP we focus more on how anatomy can help us better understand movement. So, rather than memorizing origins, insertions, and actions we talk about how muscles move at different joint angles, how two joint muscles work differently than single joint muscles, how we get stronger, etc. We combine this with a basic understanding of exercise science principles and common pathologies seen in Pilates in 31 lectures and supplemental movement labs to give learners a relevant understanding of how anatomy is useful. We go beyond the textbook and make anatomy a living thing.
